Being involved in Technical Theatre for so long has helped me learn organization, efficiency, and collaboration skills, but I have also been given the opportunity to learn practical skills such as:

 

• Creating different illusive textures through various scenic painting techniques

• Properly leading teams through installations and projects onsite

• Refining my skills in wiring practicals and troubleshooting lighting systems

• Collaborating with project managers, event coordinators, and designers to execute the overall vision and aesthetic of an event/production.

 

As an Asian American female in the theatre and production industry, getting to learn and grow as a technician and share my experiences with other artists in order to give back to the theatre and arts community, and general entertainment industry, is a very important value in the work that I put in, and I hope to continue my growth as a designer and technician wherever my work takes me.
